Walnut Bread Rolls
Background
I make various loaves of bread more or less every other day using our bread machine but I don't use its dough-making ability that often. We decided to have our first BBQ of the year but had no buns for the burgers - so I decided to try out the walnut bread rolls. Not only were they perfect for the burgers but also absolutely delicious with butter & honey!

- 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1Β½ tsp Salt
- 320 mL Water
- 100g Walnut pieces (to be added to the auto-dispenser or when your machine indicates)
Instructions
- Place the ingredients into your bread machine in the above order (or as the manufacturer recommends)
- Put on the French Bread Dough or equivalent setting (about 3ΒΌ hours)
- When the cycle completes, place the dough on a suitable clean surface and divide it into 12 balls
- Place on a greased baking tray and sprinkle with flour.
- Allow to prove at 40Β°C until about doubled in size (approx. 20 mins).
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200Β°C for 12β15 mins until golden brown.
