Background

Carrot is one of the most healthy vegetables which should be included in one's diet on a regular basis. This Easy Indian Carrot recipe is very easy, simple and tasty. It can be served as a side dish.

Ingredients

½ kg Carrot (washed, peeled and thinly diced)
1 Onion (chopped)
1 tsp Mustard seeds
2 Dry red chillies
½ Tbsp Oil
Salt as required
1 tsp Turmeric

Instructions

In a pan, heat oil and add the mustard seeds and red chillies and let them splutter.
Add the onion and fry until translucent.
Add turmeric powder, salt and the diced carrot. Cook the carrot under lid with ¼ cup water for 15 min or until the carrot becomes soft.
Serve hot with roti or steamed rice.
