Background
Carrot is one of the most healthy vegetables which should be included in one's dietΒ on a regular basis. This Easy Indian Carrot recipe is very easy, simple and tasty. It can be served as a side dish.
Ingredients
- ½ kg Carrot (washed, peeled and thinly diced)
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 2 Dry red chillies
- ½ Tbsp Oil
- Salt as required
- 1 tsp Turmeric
Instructions
- In a pan, heat oil and add the mustard seeds and red chillies and let them splutter.
- Add the onion and fry until translucent.
- Add turmeric powder, salt and the diced carrot. Cook the carrot under lid with ¼ cup water for 15 min or until the carrot becomes soft.
- Serve hot with roti or steamed rice.
