If you want a simple and healthy side-dish for grilled or fried meat or fish - this is a recipe to try! Cavolo Nero with chilli & garlic is ready 5 minutes. You can make this recipe with other types of cabbage too - such as curly kale, Savoy, swiss chard, spring greens or even spinach!

Ingredients

1 large head Cavolo nero
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 small onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 red chilli (medium hot)

Instructions

Clean the cabbage leaves, remove the stalks and slice into 2cm wide strips.
Thinly slice the onions and garlic. De-seed the chilli.
Heat the oil in a pan and soften the onion and garlic, then add the chillies and fry for a further minute.
Add the cabbage strips, sauté at low temperature for about 4-5 minutes until the leaves have just wilted.
Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm.
