Background
This crispy spiced tofu is an excellent party nibble with a glass or two - or you can add it to stews, salads and soups. It’s very easy to make and ideal for parties, picnics and lunch-boxes too.
Ingredients
- 1 block firm tofu
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Drain the tofu and wipe clean then cut it into 2cm cubes.
- Mix the ingredients in a bowl, then add the tofu cubes and coat them well. Marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat a frying pan until piping hot. Add the tofu cubes and fry them on each side for a couple of minutes until crispy brown.
- Drain them on a plate, lined with paper kitchen towel.
- Serve some soy sauce drizzled over them.
