Curried pecan nuts

Background
These curried pecan nuts are perfect for snacking during the day or you can serve them as nibbles with aperitif or at a party all year round. It’s super easy to make and it’s vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free and sugar-free too!
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil
- 2 Tbsp chopped garlic
- 200g pecan nuts
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp curry por
- ½ tsp Chinese five spice
- Salt& pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 140 ° C.
- Heat the wok on the stove. When hot, add the oil then stir-fry the garlic and pecan nuts for 30 seconds.
- Add the soy sauce and cook for about 2 minutes until the soy sauce has completely reduced.
- Turn off the heat, add the curry powder, five-spice mixture, salt &pepper then combine.
- Transfer to a baking sheet, arrange the nuts evenly, then bake for 15 minutes or until light brown and crispy.
- Let them cool before serving.
