Grilled asparagus with zingy tahini sauce

If you want a quick & easy, yet super yummy starter or appetizer try this grilled asparagus with zingy tahini sauce! Itβs vegan, gluten-free and low-carb, so perfect for thoseΒ on a diet.Β You can make this more aesthetically pleasing if you scatter some sesame seeds on the top, just before serving.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch Asparagus spears
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- ΒΌ teaspoon pepper
- Β½ lemon, juiced
- 1 Tbsp tahini
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1 clove grated garlic
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Pre-heat the grill or heat a griddle pan.
- Trip the asparagus, then brush them with oil and season with salt.
- Grill asparagus until charred all over, for about 5 minutes, turning them regularly.
- Make the tahini sauce. Mix the lemon juice, tahini, garlic and water, until you get a smooth sauce. The consistency should be similar to single cream.
- Arrange the grilled asparagus on a plate, then drizzle with the tahini sauce.
- Serve lukewarm.
