Honey-soy braised pork

Background
This honey and soy braised pork is perfect in a Chinese menu. It's very easy to make and is truly delicious.
Ingredients
- 800g boneless pork shoulder or leg
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 3 Tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp sunflower oil
- 1 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
Instructions
- Mix the honey, soy, oil and five-spice powder.
- Cut in half the meat (horizontally), then pour over the mixture. Marinate for 20-30 minutes (or longer if you have time).
- Brown the meat on all sides in a heated wok, then add the marinade and about 100 ml water.
- Bring to simmer and cook for about 15 minutes, until a thick sauce is formed and the meat is tender
- Cut the meat into thin strips and drizzle over the sauce.
- Serve with rice and stir-fried vegetables.
