Background

If you have guests coming around for dinner but you don't want to spend hours in the kitchen cooking something spectacular - then take a note of this recipe! It's incredibly quick and easy to prepare and cook but the result is just ab-fab! The perfect dish for impromptu winter festivities!

Ingredients

8 pheasant thigh fillets
50g soft butter
4 Tbsp Dijon mustard
2 Tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1 Tbsp soft brown sugar
1 tsp paprika
2 Tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Mix the butter, mustard, sugar, lemon juice and paprika.
Place the thighs in a baking tray then rub each with the mustard-butter. Season to taste. Bake for 15 minutes, turn them over and baste with the juices.
Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and cook for another 15 minutes.
Serve with mashed or sautéed potatoes.
