Background

If you're a fungiphile like me you'll just love this Shiitake Mushroom Bake! It's remarkably easy to make but so very tasty and versatile. You can serve it as a starter, a side dish or a snack at any time of day.

Ingredients

1 Tbsp Sherry Vinegar
50 ml Water
100g Fresh Shiitake Mushrooms
2 cloves Garlic
1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Fresh Thyme
½ teaspoon Chilli Flakes
Sea Salt
Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Clean any dirt for the mushrooms with a damp kitchen towel.
Pour the vinegar and water into an oven-proof dish, then put in the mushrooms.
Sprinkle the other ingredients over the mushrooms. Season to taste, then cover with cooking foil and put in the oven.
After 15 minutes, take off the foil and return to the oven for another 10 minutes. Bon appétit!
