Background
This smoked mackerel paté is a spicy version so it's more suitable for adults. But it really makes a zingy spread for party nibbles and appetizers!
Ingredients
- 2 smoked mackerel fillets
- 150g crème fraîche
- 2 tsp chopped coriander leaves
- 2 tsp chopped parsley
- 1 clove of garlic, pressed
- ½ green chilli (seeded and finely chopped)
- 1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
Instructions
- Skin the mackerel and check the fish for small bones.
- Flake the flesh into a food processor and add all the other ingredients. Whizz until smooth.
- Season to taste. Chill for 1-2 hours before serving.
