Spiced air fryer paneer
Background
These spiced air fryer paneer cubes are similar to Paneer Tikka, a popular appetizer in North India. If you want Paneer Tikka, just add some red pepper and onion pieces to the marinade and thread the skewers alternating the veggie and paneer pieces. Serve with coriander & mint chutney and naan bread.
Ingredients
- 1 block paneer (approx. 200g)
- 3 Tbsp natural yogurt
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp chickpea flour
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp ginger powder
- ¼ tsp chilli powder
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp ground coriander
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Cut the paneer into 2cm cubes.
- In a bowl mix the yoghurt, garlic, lemon juice, chickpea flour and oil.
- Add all the spices and mix well.
- Add the paneer cubes and toss to coat the cubes well.
- Thread them onto skewers and place these into the air fryer basket. Alternatively, line the air fryer basket with parchment paper and place the paneer cubes into the basket in a single layer.
- Set the air fryer to 200C and cook for about 10 minutes. If possible, turn over the skewers or shake the basket halfway through cooking.
- Remove the paneer from the air fryer and serve warm or at room temperature.
