I love runner beans and leeks alike. I stumbled upon this recipe just by experimenting in the kitchen. This spicy runner beans with leeks recipe is very easy and simple to make, yet it's very delicious. This goes very well with steamed rice.
Ingredients
- 1 big leek (cleaned and chopped)
- 200g Runner beans (cleaned and chopped)
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- Salt as required
- 1 Tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a pan, add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add the chopped leek and fry for a couple of minutes.
- Add the chopped runner beans and fry until they are cooked.
- Add salt and the red chilli powder and mix.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
