Steak with basil sauce

Background
This beef steak with basil sauce is a great recipe! The steak only takes a few minutes to cook, the sauce is ready quickly and can be prepared in advance for dinner parties. The sauce is made the same way as the Argentinean chimichurri Β sauce, but using basil instead of parsley.
Ingredients
- 30g fresh basil leaves
- 3 cloves garlic
- Β½ cup olive oil
- 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 red chilli, desseded
- Β½ tsp salt
- 2 sirloin steaks
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a mini food processor and put aside.
- Heat a griddle pan or a BBQ.
- Brush the steak with some olive oil. Season with salt and cook on both sides to your liking.
- Serve with the basil sauce drizzled over it.
Tips
The leftover sauce can be used for other dishes. Pour it over grilled chicken and fish or boiled potatoes!© 2024 Copyright CookTogether
