Paneer capsicum stir fry
Background
Paneer capsicum stir fry, a great combination of paneer (cottage cheese) and capsicum stir fried with other herbs to give the special taste. The recipe is a prominent North Indian curry that is almost a part of their everyday cooking. This is quick and easy to prepare at home and is the best go- to recipe on a busy day.
Ingredients
- 2 cups paneer cubes
- 2 medium sized capsicum diced
- 2 onions cut into medium sized pieces
- 2 Tbsp oil
- ΒΌ tsp turmeric powder
- Β½ tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- Β½ tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 green chillies chopped finely
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp dry fenugreek powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a broad non-stick pan, add paneer cubes and sautΓ© on a low flame for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In the same pan add ginger garlic paste and sautΓ© for a minute. Then add onion and capsicum and mix well.
- Add chopped green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and salt.
- Cook on a medium flame for 5 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Finally add the paneer cubes, mix gently and cook on a medium flame for one minute.
- Add dry fenugreek powder and remove from the heat.
- Serve hot with flavored rice or roti.
