Baked sea bream with lemon and herbs
Background
This baked sea bream with lemon and herbs is a super easy Mediterranean dish, which is healthy and light, so it's ideal for laid-back Summer dinner parties or family meals. Serve it with potato/ green salad and grilled vegetables.
Ingredients
- 4 sea breams, gutted and cleaned
- 1 litreemon
- 1 handful of chives or dill
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Chili flakes ( optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Make a few cuts on each side of the fish. Rub the fish with some oil, then season with salt and pepper. Tuck a chilli slice into the cuts, if used.
- Cut the lemon into thin rings then cut them in half. Put these into the cavity then stuff with the herbs.
- Lay them on a greased baking tray.
- Bake for 15-25 minutes, depending on the size of the fish.
- Turn up the heat or set to the grill and brown the skin for a minute or so.
- Serve immediately.
