Balsamic baked Brussels sprouts
Background
Brussels sprouts play an important part in the British Christmas menu despite not being the most popular side-dish. However, you can easily jazz them up with dressings & sauces or by combining them with other elements These balsamic baked Brussels sprouts can be roasted in the oven while the turkey, goose or duck is cooking. You can add some garlic cloves to the recipe if preferred.
Ingredients
- 2 red onion
- 2 cups Brussels sprouts, cleaned
- 2 Tbsp Balsamic vinegar
- 1 pack tomatoes on the wine
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tsp dried marjoram
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Cut the onion into thin wedges.
- Clean the sprouts, then scatter them into a roasting dish. Tuck the tomatoes and onion wedges between them.
- Season to taste, then scatter the marjoram over it.
- Drizzle with oil and balsamic vinegar.
- Bake for about 20 minutes until the veggies are tender.
- Serve warm.
