Balsamic glazed lamb steak
Background
This is a recipe you should save in your binder. It's perfect for a midweek quick & easy supper -Β but it's so tasty that it can be served at a dinner party too! It's best to marinate it for a while, so it's also the ideal main meat at a BBQ party. For supper serve it with salad and mash - at a BBQ, slice it up and put it in a bread roll or pita with some relishes.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless lamb steaks (shoulder or leg)
- 1 Tbsp chopped rosemary leaves
- 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp olive oil
- Sea salt and ground pepper
Instructions
- Mix the vinegar, oil and rosemary together then coat the lamb steaks evenly with it.
- If you have time, marinate for 30 minutes or more.
- Heat your barbecue or griddle pan.
- Season the steaks with salt immediately before cooking.
- Cook 5 minutes on each side depending on how well done you like lamb.
- Rest for a few minutes before serving.
