Background
This Asian-style ginger and honey glazed chicken is ideal for busy midweek suppers or lazy weekend family meals. Best served with steamed rice and Asian-style vegetable dishes on the side.
Ingredients
- 3 chicken legs (cut in half)
- 2 Tbsp runny honey
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- Grated zest 2 limes
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 3 pieces of stem ginger in syrup
Instructions
- Drain the stem ginger and cut them into small cubes.
- In a large bowl, mix the ginger pieces, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lime juice and zest. Add the chicken pieces and cover them with the glaze. Rest until youβre ready to cook.
- Preheat the oven to 200Β°C. Place the marinated chicken into a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until light brown.
