Background

I was rummaging through my refrigerator for any vegetables to cook and found some mangetout and potatoes. I just had to do with these vegetables and thought of combining them in an easy way. I ended up with a very tasty dish which goes well with steamed rice or roti.

Ingredients

150g Mangetout, washed and cut
2 Medium potatoes, peeled, washed and cubed
1 Onion, chopped
1 Tomato, chopped
1 tsp Turmeric
Salt as required
1 Tbsp Oil
1 tsp Cumin seeds

Instructions

In a pan, heat the oil and add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add the onion, tomato, mange touts and potato and cook under lid until soft.
Add turmeric and salt and stir.
Serve hot.
