Background
Peas pulao is simple and easy to make. It can be made with fresh or frozen Β peas. But I prefer to use fresh peas for this recipe. This is often made in northern India. Rice can be cooked in a pressure cooker or in a pot, I prefer to pressure cook the rice. Make sure that the grains are separate and are not sticky.

Instructions
- Wash the rice and soak for 30 minutes. Drain the water and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan on a medium flame and add all the spices, sautΓ© for a minute.
- Add chopped onions to the spices, fry till they turn light brown.
- Add soaked rice, green peas , green chillies , mint leaves. Mix well and sautΓ© for 3 minutes.
- Boil 4 cups of water separately in a vessel.
