Background
When you have leftover pizza dough or a ready-rolled pizza dough in your fridge you can make quick and easy snacks from it, like these pizza dough garlic breadsticks. It takes 5 minutes to prepare and about 8 minutes to cook. It’s vegan if plant-based margarine is used.
Ingredients
- Leftover or ready-rolled pizza dough
- 2 Tbsp soft butter or dairy-free spread, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder or 1 minced garlic clove
- 1 tsp dried oregano or fresh chopped rosemary
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface - if you want the breadsticks thin and crispy, the dough should be about 3mm. If you want them fluffy - the dough should be thicker.
- Cut the dough into (approx.) 3x6cm rectangles, using a pizza cutter. You can make them longer and thinner if preferred.
- Mix the melted butter with garlic the herbs.
- Bush the rectangles with the garlic butter, then put them on a baking tray, lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the oven for about 5-8 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
- Let them cool, then serve.
