Spinach with garlic and feta
Background
This spinach with garlic and feta fits well in a meze or you can serve it in flat bread with grilled meat, veggies or kebab. For a vegan version use plant-based feta alternative.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 150g spinach
- ½ lemon, juiced
- Pinch of chilli flakes (optional)
- 50g feta
Instructions
- Thinly slice the garlic.
- Heat the oil, then gently fry the garlic for a few seconds - don’t burn it! You can add a pinch of chilli flakes for a spiced version.
- Add the rinsed spinach. Stir, then add the lemon juice. Put a lid on, turn down the heat and sauté for 5 minutes or until the spinach has wilted.
- Crumble the feta on top, let it melt a bit and serve.
