Bitter gourd with coconut

Background
Bitter gourd is a vegetable which actually is very bitter! Despite the bitter taste, I love bitter gourd and it is a very healthy vegetable too. The coconut gives a fresh taste to the fried bitter gourd.
Ingredients
- ½ Kg Bitter gourd (Washed and chopped)
- ¼ Fresh coconut, grated
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 2 Garlic pods
- 1 Tbsp Oil
- 1 Green chilli
- Salt as required
Instructions
- Grind together coconut, cumin seeds, green chilli and garlic pods.
- In a pan, heat the oil and add the chopped bitter gourd and fry until it is cooked and becomes soft.
- Add the ground coconut to it and mix.
- Add salt and fry for a couple of minutes.
