Ingredients
- 2 cups Gram flour or besan
- ½ cup Ghee or clarified butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 4 Cardamoms, powdered
Instructions
- Dry roast gram flour in a pan on a slow flame for 10-12 minutes.
- Keep stirring the gram flour so as not to burn and roast until it gets a brown colour.
- Melt the clarified butter or ghee and add it to the roasted gram flour and continue to roast for another 4-5 minutes.
- The gram flour would give a nice nutty fragrance and start releasing the ghee on the sides.
- Now, switch off the flame and set it aside.
- Add the sugar and cardamom powder until they are thoroughly mixed.
- Take care that there are no lumps and let this mixture cool to room temperature.
- After the mixture cools down, make small or medium sized balls.
Tips
- If you are not able to form the balls, refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes, so that the ghee solidifies and then make the balls.
- These ladoos can be stored in an airtight container.
