Indian beans curry

Background
Indian beans are very good source for lowering cholesterol and prevents blood sugar levels from rising. Indian beans curry is quick to prepare and goes good with rice or roti.
Ingredients
- 250 gms Indian beans
- 2 onions chopped
- 2 green chilli slit and cut
- 4 garlic cloves crushed
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ΒΌ tsp cumin powder
- A pinch turmeric
- 1 Tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- 1 Tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Instructions
- Wash, string the beans and split each bean into two to three pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan, add curry leaves, chopped onion, green chillies and salt. Fry the onions till brown.
- Add beans, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric, red chilli powder and mix well.
- Add half cup of water and cover with a lid. Cook covered for 8-10 minutes on low heat.
- Remove from heat and transfer to serving bowl.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
