Background

The following rice pudding is a very famous sweet prepared for festivals in India. It is tasty to eat and easy to make. This pudding is native to Kerala in India.

Ingredients

⅓ rd cup Palada (Rice ada -type of rice, found in Indian stores )
2 cups Milk
¼ cup Sugar
Dry fruits fried in little ghee (Optional)

Instructions

Soak the rice in water for 10 minutes. Drain the water and set aside.
In a deep bottomed vessel, add the rice and milk and cook on medium flame.
When the mixture starts to boil, set it to low flame and cook until the rice becomes soft.
Add the sugar and let it dissolve in the mixture.
Garnish with dry fruits (Optional).
