Background

It only takes a couple of minutes to make this tasty spread that's perfect on party nibbles, picnic snacks, school sandwiches and so on.

Ingredients

100g smoked salmon
50g natural cream cheese
1 Tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp lemon juice
1 sprig onion (chopped)
2 tsp dill or chives
Ground pepper to taste

Instructions

In a small food processor blend all the ingredients until you get a creamy or textured paste.
If possible, allow to rest for an hour or two in the refrigerator before using.
Serve on crackers, oatcakes, blini, crostini or toast. You can also use this paté to create elegant canapés.
