Background

Spicy and tangy macaroni is a delicious dish made with vegetables and sauces. You may adjust the spices according to your taste. This tasty recipe is suitable for school lunch for your children.

Ingredients

250 gm macaroni
½ cup carrot finely chopped
1 onion finely chopped
1 small capsicum thinly sliced
1 green chilly chopped
3 garlic pods chopped
¼ cup chopped spring onions
2 Tbsp. tomato sauce
½ cup tomato purée
2 tsp oil
½ tsp red chilli sauce
Salt to taste

Instructions

Boil the macaroni in 4 cups of water by adding little salt and oil.
Keep stirring until they are soft. Drain the water and keep aside.
Heat a pan and add oil.
Add green chillies and chopped garlic, sauté for a minute.
Add chopped onions, carrot, and capsicum. Mix well.
Add salt and cook under low flame for till soft.
Add boiled macaroni, red chilli sauce, and tomato sauce.
Toss quickly and cook for 3 minutes.
Finally add green spring onions and serve.
