Steak with spiced yoghurt

Background
This steak is fantastic for a BBQ or dinner party. Both the meat and the sauce can be prepared in advance so you can concentrate on other dishes and your guests!
Ingredients
- 2 thick slices of sirloin steak
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- For the sauce:
- 1 clove garlic (roasted or barbecued)
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 75 ml of Greek yoghurt
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- ½ tsp coriander seeds
- Salt & pepper
- Garnish: chopped parsley, pine nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Mix the olive oil, cumin seeds and garlic. Marinate the steak with this mixture and rest in the fridge for about 2-4 hours or overnight.
- Prepare the sauce: roast the coriander and cumin seeds in a frying pan (without oil). Press the roasted garlic out of its skin and blend it together with the other ingredients. Let it rest in the refrigerator.
- Take the meat out of the fridge 10 minute before cooking. Season then barbecue or grill for 3-5 minutes on each side to your liking.
- Rest for 5 minutes then cut half-inch slices.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and pine nuts (optional) and pour over the sauce.
- Serve with potato salad . Alternatively put into a ban, pita, flatbrad or wrap. Add some leafy salad and pour the dressing over it.
