BBQ Tuna Steaks
Background
Tuna steaks are fish, of course, but they're not like most fish in texture or taste - they're more like eating meat which can be useful for some fussy kids (of all ages) who say they don't like fish. This BBQ Tuna Steaks recipe also works well if you're just using a frying pan or griddle.
Ingredients
- 2 Tuna Steaks
- Marinade: 60 ml Olive Oil
- 40 ml Soy Sauce
- Juice of 1 Lemon
- 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 finely chopped clove Garlic
- 1 tsp dried Italian mixed herbs or Oregano
Instructions
- Mix the marinade ingredients together in a bowl then put into a medium freezer bag with the tuna.
- Squidge the bag gently around the fish to coat them thoroughly.
- Pop into the fridge and leave to marinate for at least ½ hour.
- When the BBQ is hot & ready carefully place on the steaks for a couple of minutes per side, dribbling some of the marinade onto them to if you like them moist.
